The true humanity of art, the existential nature of the creative journey - that's what we buy into with human created art as opposed to AI generated art. I can have a poster on a wall that looks nice, that was generated by AI and that I like. But, part of the real intrinsic value of any art (for me) is in KNOWING the journey of the creator in arriving at the created destination. The intention and emotion poured into the output is something that I as a "consumer" of works am interested in. For example, I want to KNOW that my artist friend Jenny Bell (www.campionbell.com) has journeyed into the creation of a mural, has with every brush stroke entered into a creative contract with (in this case) the viewer of the work, that it contains authenticity and TIME, experience and emotion. One COULD argue that Jenny is simply generating art from her "data" but, if one were to stick to that then AI will NEVER create true art, it will simply imitate based on extrapolated INCOMPLETE data, whereas Jenny would use her emotion, the sensation of riding a horse, of jumping, of dressage, to pour into the extrinsic expression of the intrinsic journey.
