Rose-tinted AI future.

So yes, as an AI enthusiast, I am really excited about the future but, as a grizzled tech veteran of 30 years I also understand the impact that simple humanity has on the way tech is used and so I am somewhat pessimistic but today I don my rose-tinted goggles and look forward to a bright future…

In the first episode of my new podcast “The Loqui” I take a somewhat concerned look at the risks of AI for humanity (my particular focus was Quantum Computing and AI forming an unholy, too-powerful alliance) and consider what some luminaries and academics were saying about what the future might hold from a “hold my beer, the apocalypse might be coming” perspective.

But, in the interests of balance, I considered after some good coffee whether I was being too pessimistic and maybe, just maybe we might buck the trend of using good things for bad reasons (power, money, control) so, here’s my list of 7 good things I think AI will bring for us and, I will explore these in episode 2 of the show.
