Doubt and the death of destiny.
On being determined.
“The most important thing is to get rid of is doubt. If you got doubt in what you’re doing it’s not going to work”.
Nipsey Hu$$le
Who doesn’t love a good quote?
It’s Friday so you’ve probably come to the end of the week wherein you have had ideas, maybe even started something new, planned for a future, or dreamed a dream 🎶
At some point in any journey toward success (whatever that looks like for you) and possibly even this week, you will get mugged by doubt, you’ll get beaten around the head with the “Big bad stick of doubty-doubt”, you’ll get Rick-rolled by more work masquerading as an opportunity. Now it may be that the beating is so brutal you falter, you begin to question yourself, to think “Can I?”, “Do I deserve success?” or even “Am I worthy?”.
Well, in reality as Bob the Builder might paraphrase “Yes! Yes you can”. So you deserve success? Why not? What reason is there for the universe conspiring against YOU versus the billions of other people on this blue ball? Worthiness? Well, one’s own sense of self-worth is very often tied up to the events or people that have impacted us thus far, or our own escapades in life but, your future from here on out is NOT bound to or determined by your past, in fact, your past only defines your starting place, not your finish line.
Doubt is insidious, doubt is a chain that drags behind an idea, doubt is a weight that slows and even halts progress. Doubt is also natural, but doubt is NOT the thing that defines your success unless you let it stop you.
Preas on.
