A note to leaders of the existential impact of praxis on an organisation.

TL’DR: As a leader, what you do, how you do it and the behaviours you model to your team matter greatly to the overall success of your endeavours. If you behave badly, don’t expect your team to behave differently.

⛳ The culture of any “tribe” is defined by the shared values, beliefs, and behaviours of its members. As a leader, YOU hold the power to shape the culture of your organisation by the example you live out and, how you wield that power will define the very nature, consistency and extent (or otherwise) of your organisational success.

⬆ The way in which you lead, the values you uphold, and the behaviours you model will all have an impact on the way your tribe work and interact with each other. As a child is shaped and formed by the values it sees and experiences from its parents, so is a team, group, or organisation.

✍ For example, if you truly value collaboration, you’ll need to create, nurture and protect an environment where team members feel comfortable sharing ideas and working together. If you value innovation, you’ll need to make sure you develop a space where your team members feel comfortable taking risks and trying new things.
